Whooping Cranes band has been a headlining act in the Decatur Arts Festival for five years in a row! During the 1996 Summer Games, the Whooping Cranes were a regularly featured band on the Budweiser ‘Celebration of the Century’ stage. They have been a featured band for several years in the Atlanta Mardi Gras, and Jazz & Heritage Festivals at many of the Fat Tuesday locations in Georgia. By 1999, the group added real horn players to the lineup for recording and for larger shows, concerts, & festivals. They performed for thousands of people with their Horn Section for Decatur’s New Year’s Eve Millennium Event on the Square! Also, Whooping Crane band was the headlining group in the 2000 Decatur Arts Festival, performing a 3 hour Concert & Dance on the Decatur Square with their horn section. This phenomenal & memorable show continued the entire 3 hours without stopping for any break times, and the large crowd danced into the night!
In 2001, Whooping Cranes with their Horn section headlined Clayton County/City of Morrow’s Summer Fest. Recently, the group performed shows for: AFLAC, Calhoun Council for the Arts, Southern Energy Corp., Tricon Services, and also performed parties for Mercedez Benz, Country Club of Roswell, & Lake Lanier Sailing Club! In 2004, the band played prestigious events for Renaissance Hotels Pine Isle Resort, Country Club of Columbus, Sugarloaf Country Club, Reynold’s Plantation Golf Resort, Rivermore Park in Suwanee, Paideia School’s Fundraiser, Sandy Springs Fall Festival, and for the American Cancer Society Fundraiser Gala! One of the big events of 2005 was headlining a special concert at the Gwinnett Civic Center for all of the annual ticket holders. In 2006, Whooping Cranes performed shows for American Pie & others, including opening in Concert for rockabilly star Sleepy LaBeef. In recent years, the band has performed at Frat Parties, Golf & Country Clubs, wedding receptions, regional festivals, company parties, and special events such as: Subaru's Auto Tour at REI store in Atlanta, and for the past 3 years in a row headlining a Doraville annual Block Party.
Whooping Cranes band has continued to perform at Atlanta area venues such as: Jeffery's Sports Bar, Highlands Grill, Wild Wing Cafe locations, and other regional venues.
